Yesterday, I got an email from my publisher, almost exactly one year from the time the acquisitions editor indicated they would like to proceed with my proposed gift book. It said in part: “we’re happy to show you the cover design for As Grandma Says. We hope you like it as much as we do.” And I did. So I’d like to share it with you.
I have never met the artist who painted such lovely iris. I did, however, go to her website and find her email address so that I could email her a thank you. She sent back a really nice response. I think she and I are going to be friends. I may have to sell another gift book for her to illustrate.
