Reading More

I’ve been reading a lot of things this week, mostly related to writing, publishing, and book marketing. It’s a big, new world out there. The publishing model is changing by the moment.

But you don’t need to be left behind. If you want to self-publish, but don’t know where to begin, I can recommend Shelley Hitz’s e-book, “Self Publishing Books 101: Helping You Get Published and Noticed,” as a great beginning guide. She takes you through the process, step-by-step.  If you can read a recipe with eight ingredients, follow it, and come out with an edible product, you can publish your book this same way.

Without talking down to the reader, she puts things in such simple terms that anyone can follow along.  She writes in plain English, without jargon or acronyms.  Refreshing and lucid.  This is a valuable reference.
